At Home Activities

At Home Activities

With a quarantine in the foreseeable future I thought it might be handy to write a little schedule and come up with a few activities I can do at home with the kids. As every parent will know being at home at long lengths with kids can make you go a little stir crazy! So below are a list of beautiful small businesses that offer amazing packs that will keep your kids occupied during this crazy time. I am going to grab a couple and put them on the dining table at the same time each day for an hour or two to keep the kids amused. If you don’t mind social outings then you could also purchase a Spotlight or Kmart craft kit for $15. However, during this unknown time, I am trying to support small business wherever I can.

Kitchen Hack

Kitchen Hack

Just before Christmas I spotted the Adairs kids kitchen and fell in love. It was almost perfect. So I decided to do a little hack on it.

I used cork sheets from Kmart and put them on top of the stove plates to complement the timber finishes on the kitchen.

I bought utensils from Kmart and popped them in a Target mug. The pots came with the kitchen.

I spray painted all the panels matte white to fit in with the theme of Layla’s room and our house.

Finally the finished product! The accessories, paint and cork cost $40 bringing the total cost of the kitchen and hack to only $140.
